Light snow showers

14th April 2017

A dusting of new snow above 900 metres.  Old snowfields are firm with a serious run out potential into rocks below.  Feeling very cold especially at plateau levels with blustery snow showers throughout the day on Westerly winds.

More of the same tomorrow; cold with strong Westerly winds, snow showers above 600 metres

Bynack More, the North Ridge, Cnap Coire na Spreidhe and Coire Laogh Mor, Cairngorm summit far right.

The North facing corries of Braeriach.

The Northern Corries

The top of Coire Raibert and Coire an t-Sneachda, a bitterly cold environment at this altitude.

A smattering of snow and ice on the Fiacaill of Sneachda

A passing snow shower.  Looking down the Fiacaill a Choire Chais
