Light snow showers

22nd April 2017

A cold Westerly airflow with summit temperatures dipping to minus 5 degrees C this morning.  A light dusting of new snow.  The old snowpack is very firm and confined to mostly corrie rims and some plateau areas.   Steeper terrain has serious run out potential into boulder fields below.  Milder during Sunday; however through the early part of next week expect cold conditions with snow showers down to glen levels.  The latter part of the week is expected to turn mild again.

This is the last Blog for this season.

We would like to say a big thank you for all your support over the winter.  See you next winter 2017/2018.

Have a great summer.
