Deep drifts…

1st February 2018

Not much new snow during the day but there was a fair amount arrived at the end of the day and during the evening yesterday: Combined with the strong winds, there has been fairly persistent drifting with deep new windslab forming. More snow forecast this evening on strong winds but they will gradually ease tomorrow – so we finally get some respite… Might even be able to take the goggles off and put our hoods down for a bit!

Bit of thought needs to go in to route choice though – so have a quick read of the report if you are heading out tomorrow. Have fun out there folks!
