A total contrast from yesterday – whiteout conditions but not too cold – milder with the freezing level around 1000m. Still very firm and icy snow above 900m. Soft and slowly thawing below.

Mess of Potage crag – Coire an t Sneachda from windy col. Note crown wall from cornice triggered avalanche that occurred this morning. approx 150m across – 60cm deep which ran 250m into coire – NW aspect.
