A firm snowpack

18th January 2020

Cool temperatures with a firm snowpack.  Some accumulations of soft windslab are present on Easterly aspects.

Many ski tourers and mountaineers were making the most of winter conditions.

A group of folk descended Cairngorm in jeans and trainers, one member had the early stages of hypothermia and had to be assisted down!

A ray of sunshine over Beinn Mheadhoin

On the East side of Cairngorm, Loch Avon just in view.
