A Cold Winters day

27th January 2020

Frozen ground and a dusting on new snow has freshened up the mountains and given a distinctly winter feel – at last. The old snow is hard and icy, this is overlain with some fresh new snow – shallow and not too significant a depth at the moment – although weakly bonded, deeper deposits are hard to find but may be present in very wind sheltered small locations at the tops oaf gullies etc – but they should be easily avoidable.
