Increasing Southerly winds.

29th February 2020

Cloud cleared through the morning to leave a bright day.  Through the afternoon Southerly winds strengthened with the arrival of light snowfall.  A widespread thin and breakable crust has developed after last nights brief thaw freeze, soft cold snow lies beneath this.  Drifting throughout the day with new windslab developing in lee areas.

Drifting snow piles into Coire an Lochain

Many ridges scoured on windward sides
