Calmer after the Storms !

10th March 2015

Cold and windy at first, then the day improved to become clear and sunny at times, although the wind remained.

Surprisingly little new soft snow is around considering the amount of precipitation that we have had, a combination of ablation and fluctuating freezing levels has pretty much solidified the snowpack which is pretty hard and icy in most places.
