A day of avalanches

Light drifting led to windslab building over a soft layer on W to N aspects. Â This caused a very weak layer. Â It caught two snowboarders out at around midday on the Cas Head Wall. Â Windslab was continually building on the steep convex slope. Â They triggered two separated avalanches one after the other and scooted away unharmed, missing the boulder fields below
