The Scottish Avalanche Information Service would recommend that those wishing to enjoy the winter mountains refer to Mountaineering Scotland and Scottish Government advice regarding Covid-19 and outdoor activities.
Zero degrees at summit levels by midday. Â The snowpack is beginning to diminish below 700 metres. Â Deep accumulations of soft thawing snow remain above this level. Â Firmer conditions above 1000 metres, although its punchy and deep for those on foot.
