The Scottish Avalanche Information Service issues information to support permitted activity under current Scottish Government guidance.  Please be aware of travel restrictions within Scotland and respect local communities by referring to Scottish Government guidance and how to participate safely by referring to Mountaineering Scotland guidance.

Cold settled conditions with average summit temperatures of minus 7 C.  Widespread soft snow overlies a very firm snowpack leading to serious run out potential on steep slopes.

Debris from recent avalanche activity was observed at the bottom of a NW facing gully and from a steep coire rim of the same aspect

Wind eroded snow from the previous days South-East winds.
