A beautiful start to the day, cold and mostly clear with a few centimetres of new snow down to glen level.

By mid morning the cloud increased as snow fall arrived.  Conditions at higher levels in the Cairngorms were bitterly cold in the North-Westerly winds with summit temperatures as low as minus 8 C.  Good navigation skills were needed above 1000 metres due to white out conditions.
