The calm before the storm

29th December 2022

A surprisingly pleasant day on the hill today.  We opted for ski’s instead of walking boots which was the right decision.  Walking would be arduous if trail breaking and the skiing is acceptable if you don’t mind breakable crust and/or ice.  We have a significant amount of snowfall on the forecast tomorrow accompanied with some very strong winds, touching on gale for a few hours.  A challenging day ahead tomorrow.
