Coire an Lochain

17th February 2023

A delayed start this morning resulted in the observation day being surprisingly calm despite being on the tail end of Storm Otto.  A smattering of fresh snow lies mainly above 750 metres on bare ground or the existing stable old snow.  Cover remains patchy and can be found in the highest of corries and plateau’s.  More snow in the forecast overnight with winds easing.
