Cold and sunny

13th December 2023

A cold sunny day with light Easterly winds.
There’s a wintry feel in the Cairngorms, currently a thin layer of soft snow overlies a patchy firm base, this is mainly above 750 metres.

          Lingering cloud at glen levels.

Avalanche debris below the Cas headwall.  This occurred during last weeks stormy conditions.

Crossing a West facing slope at 1100 metres.
