Firm snow

13th December 2024

A day of cooler temperatures with freezing levels around 800 metres.  The snowpack has become quite firm on all aspects and levels.  There’s a change in the air as the high pressure gives way to more unsettled conditions over the weekend.  No precipitation has been forecast for Saturday, it will remain cool up until the afternoon when freezing levels are expected to rise to above the summits.
