Winter over the tops

It felt like winter over the summits today with fresh snow and drifting. The freezing level has been gradually rising with summit temperature on Cairngorm reaching -0.6 at 1900hrs.
The freezing level is expected to continue to rise above the summits causing a thaw at all levels overnight and during Thursday morning
