Wandering the glens.

21st January 2025

Another dry day in the Cairngorms with light South-Westerly winds, variable freezing levels and plenty of sunshine. Little change to general hill conditions.  Limited small firm patches of snow remain above 1000 metres.  Wednesday looks a similar picture, then it’s all change from Thursday onwards with gale force winds and the potential for snow.

Looking up into Coire Garbhlach, Glen Feshie.

Small patches of snow on the East facing slopes of Carn Dearg Mor, Glen Feshie.

A slither of snow remains to the right of the path leading up to Carn Ban Mor.

Light showers of rain at the far Southern end of Glen Feshie.

Looking across at Lurchers crag and the Lairaig Ghru.

The North facing Corries of Braeriach.
