Drifting continues

17th February 2025

Drifting snow continued on gale force SSE  winds.  Feeling chilly with summit temperatures of minus 6 to 7 Celsius.  a much brighter day with good views between plumes of spindrift. Windslab continues to accumulate in the most wind sheltered locations, cornices remain fragile. The old snow is very firm underfoot with serious run on potential.  Paths are mostly clear of snow with firm icy sections developing as you ascend higher into the corries.
