Solar eclipse

29th March 2025

A partial solar eclipse during the morning was followed by a very stormy afternoon with winds gusting over 80 mph at higher levels. The solar eclipse was hiding behind the clouds but it did turn a little gloomier during the event.  Winds are expected to ease during Sunday as high pressure starts to build.
