Bright and breezy

1st April 2025

Another stunning day in the Cairngorm’s, mild temperatures, with highs of plus 6 Celsius on the summit of Cairngorm.  On the plateau the 50 to 60 mph Southerlies soon cooled things down, not ideal for anyone venturing out in shorts.  Looking less windy on Wednesday and expect another bright sunny day.

Magnificent waterfalls cascade down from Garbh Uisge Beag, Ben Macdui in the distant.

Conditions on the Shelter Stone and Carn Etchachan.

Little snow remains at the base of Hell’s Lum.

For the very keen fisherman, views of Loch Avon.

The sandy beaches of Loch Avon with Beinn Mheadhoin behind.
