Mild and Misty with Good snow cover.

23rd November 2025

Below the cloud at 1000m, a glimpse West towards Lurchers and the Chalamain gap .

A freezing level around 1000m and summit levels has helped stabilise and consolidate the snowpack. Poor visibility today above 900m in the cloud with whiteout conditions at times at higher elevations. So not much to see! Very breakable crust at the moment which should begin to become more solid in the colder temperatures expected on Monday.

Cairngorm MRT navigating in poor visibility on the Cairngorm plateau.
