Windy!

28th November 2025

A significant low pressure system arrived last night bringing South-Westerly hurricane force winds, colder temperatures and some heavy showers.

Unfortunately the winds persisted through the day, hindering a closer look at the distribution of new snow.

At first glance it would seem that much of the recent snow has been taken into the atmosphere (snow ablation) on the hurricane force winds.

Whatever new snow is present on Northerly to Easterly aspects will begin to be slowly eroded and distributed on to Southerly aspects as the wind veers Northerly tomorrow. (see report for more details).
