18th February 2026

An evening and day of continuous significant drifting down to low levels. Storm force winds from the South-South-East have been accelerating over the plateau ripping out any unconsolidated snow from wind exposed areas and redistributing vast amounts of fresh unstable wind slab in steep lee aspects.  South-South-East winds will continue through the evening and into tomorrow with a slight easing through the day.
