Continuing snow showers

29th March 2026

Another day of heavy snow showers, storm force winds and cold temperatures, abeit a tiny blip in the temperature around 0930 this morning where the freezing level popped above the summit before settling back down to a respectable -3 degrees.  A poor day for photos but there were a few breaks in the cloud that enabled views into the hills.  Drifting of any unconsolidated snow and fresh snow fall will continue to build soft windslab in wind sheltered locations through tonight and tomorrow.

For the majority of the day, this was the view into the Northern Cairngorms.
