Today was another windy day with strong South-South-West winds, after a warmer period the freezing level dropped and the snow surface later refroze. There was significant drifting of the new snow that fell this morning. Avalanche debris was observed in Coire an t-Sneachda on a Westerly aspect. This will have triggered on the persistent weak layer at depth in the snowpack.  Further avalanche activity is likely at this same weak layer as the temperature rises with heavy rain tomorrow.
