Warm, windy and sunny.

A warm sunny day with strong to gale force South-South-Easterly winds. Â Drifting snow through the morning leading to unstable windslab continuing to develop on NW to NE aspects above 1000 metres. Â As the sun melted the snow surface on the plateau the drifting ceased by midday. Â North facing steep and convex terrain such as the Goat Track, NE corner of Coire an Lochain and similar areas further afield were mostly affected.
Coire an Lochain – drifting snow can be seen to the left of the twin burns area.
Continual drifting through the morning especially above the Goat Track.
Unstable windslab on a NE aspect at 1050m.

Once in the shade the snow was firm underfoot.
