A sunny day with light winds

At long last blue sky’s with light winds….
The plateau – variable conditions, ice, rocks and firm snowfields.
Easterly aspect – Fiacaill a Choire Chais. Newly formed windslab is weakly bonded a cold snow surface of -10.5.
Looking into Coire an t – Sneachda
Sastrugi formed by wind erosion on exposed slopes
Carn Etchachan, the top of Shelter Stone Crag and Feith Buidhe

I was up on Cairngorm on the 17th, and it was a stunning day to be up there. Your pictures show just how good it was. The views were excellent.
