Mild wet and windy

15th April 2026

A mild windy day with showers of rain at all levels.  The thaw set in during Wednesday night leading to significant snow loss. Extensive snow fields remain around coire back walls, flanks and the plateau. During the thaw conditions, rock fall, cornice collapse and full depth avalanches over rock slab terrain will remain a hazard. This is the last blog for this season. For updates on snow conditions, please read the headline at the top of the home page. Thanks for all your support this winter, have a great summer!

Still plenty of snow around to practice winter skills.

April showers with an end of season rainbow.
