A calm day with hazy sunshine. Â Northerly aspects are very firm in places. Sun exposed slopes softened during the afternoon.

A small slab avalanche on the knoll at Stac an Fharaidh. More details below.
Slab avalanche which happened during yesterdays stormy weather – strong South winds and snowfall. Â Steep convex slope, NE aspect. Â The firm storm slab released on a soft layer beneath. Â The soft layer of windslab developed on Thursday during the lighter winds from the South.
