Snowfall and Strong Winds

22nd December 2016

A very windy day with persistent snow showers, snow lands but doesn’t stay! Most accumulations are formed in any wind sheltered places, above 1000m, though snow is pretty much blasted from the landscape, at lower levels soft snow manages to lie but covers rocks and uneven ground so a bit tricky for walking with lots of stumbling!  Nice for it to feel like winter otherwise.
