Easter Sunday

Light snowfall above 600 metres with bands of cloud.  Clear spells were often at higher altitudes.  The freezing level rose to just below the summits.  Light variable winds.  A superficial covering of new snow above 1000 metres.

Cold temperatures are expected to continue with light snow showers and moderate, gusting strong Northerly winds.  Expect some drifting over summits and plateau areas with localised windslab developing on Southerly aspects above 1000 metres
