Heavy snow showers
16th January 2018
Minus 8C on the summit of Cairngorm and heavy snow showers down to all levels on a brisk Westerly wind.

An extensive knee to thigh deep drift in the sheltered convex area below the group. Â Exposed ridges are mostly scoured and icy.

Open coire floors generally scored with a breakable crust, deep drifts forming in lee areas and boulder fields.
