3rd January 2018

Good snow cover on the Cairngorm plateau – soft snow and rocky cover. More continuous cover in places that were wind sheltered from the strong west winds, but good viz and a cunning plan if you want to link snowy areas.

Moody light and clouds – looking toward Derry Cairngorm and Loch Etchachan

Looking towards the Southern Cairngorms and Ben Avon from Cairngorm South flank.

Looking towards Coire an t Sneachda and the Cairngorm plateau.

The winter clad cliffs of Coire an t Sneachda.
