Storm force winds

A wild day in the Cairngorms, the snow gates were closed at Glenmore due to storm force winds and drifting snow across the link road.   It turned milder through the morning and a thaw set in at lower levels.

  Good day,

  Have you guys been over and sen the south ridge up to Ben Macdui recently, and know what the coverage is like? I’m guessing with the winds recently that the ridge itself is pretty scoured, and is wind loaded on the west?

    Hi Richard
    we haven’t been over as far as that but it is worth contacting Southern Cairngorms as its more on their side of the Cairngorms
