A day of spindrift

17th February 2020

An atmospheric day with drifting snow and shafts of sunlight.   There’s a widespread crust which is breakable in some areas, the boulder fields are filled in and its looking quite wintry. Today has been the first opportunity to get into the corries for a few days after the impossible Southerly gales, although it was still very windy today but the Cairngorm Westerlies tend not to be quite so severe!
