Cold calm conditions

2nd December 2021

A calm day with summit temperatures as low as minus 8C.  Good views across the plateau with some low cloud drifting in.  A superficial covering of snow lies on all aspects, deeper drifts have developed in lee areas.  Conditions underfoot are generally easy going if the deeper snow is avoided.  Some icy stretches on ridges, paths and plateau.

Looking South across the Cairngorm plateau

Looking towards Coire an t-Sneachda crags including the Fiachaill Buttress, Coire and Lochain just visible behind.
