A gusty day

28th January 2022

Although no precipitation was forecast and there wasn’t a single rain cloud in sight, it was one of those days where a few large splodges of rain fell from the sky after being carried for miles on the Westerly gales.  Walking into the corries was fairly straight forward apart from a gusty tailwind.  Once in the corrie itself the wind speed and direction became unpredictable with the chance of being blown over or swept away; boulder fields were best avoided.

Straight forward underfoot conditions at this level, but this group decided they had gone far enough once they encountered the full impact of unpredictable gusts.
