Light winds

The snow is most widespread on Northerly to Easterly aspects above 900 metres. Â A breakable crust has developed and in some areas the snow is soft and deep. Â Â It was a very busy day in the Cairngorms, Â with many groups making the most of the wintry conditions, minus the recent strong winds.
Walking into Coire an Lochain, at 900m.
At 950 metres; a mix of soft snow and breakable crust.
Coire an Lochain looking a bit more wintry. Ice is also building on easier angled terrain.
At 1000m on a NE aspect. Â One of many observations used to identify snowpack weaknesses.
