Rising temperatures.

Rising temperatures accompanied by gale force South-Easterly winds. Â The strength of the wind was much worse at car park levels due to the nature of the terrain. Â Drifting snow above 1000 metres. Â New accumulations have developed on W to N aspects in the most wind sheltered locations. Â Apart from wind exposed areas such as ridges, good snow cover remains above 700 metres, below this level its becoming thin and patchy. Â Mild conditions are set to continue with more snow loss expected. Â Rock, icefall and cornice collapse will be a potential hazard.
