Cold temperatures with snow showers and poor visibility

9th December 2022

Another day of cold temperatures with poor visibility above 700 metres.   The blanket of soft snow continues to deepen especially at higher altitudes.  Arduous conditions especially for those on foot.  A tricky descent if travelling by ski due to the poor visibility combined with rocks and drops hidden beneath the soft snow.

The Fiacaill Cas ridge at 950 metres. Difficult underfoot conditions and route finding.

The Allt Mor. Snow conditions at 500 metres.
