Misty on the tops

The summit of Cairngorm was shrouded by mist for most of the day but it was generally clear at lower levels.  Large patches of soft snow remain around coire back walls and the plateau above 1000 metres, ribbons and bare ground below.  A few light showers crossed the mountains, this fell as sleet and grizzly snow above 1100 metres.

The E side of Cairngorm, beyond is Beinn Mheadhoin shrouded by cloud.

Soft wet snow with 10 to 20cm foot penetration.
