Ski Sunday

2nd April 2023

It was a cloudy start to the day but this did lift (eventually) to allow some better photo opportunities.  The snow has softened at all elevations making progress fairly sluggish.  Nights frosts in the forecast, so expect the snow to firm up accordingly, before softening during the day.

Above: A dusting of wet snow overnight fell above 1100 metres.

Above: Remnants of cornices still linger on high North facing coires.

Above: Snow still to be found in high North facing coires.

Above: Fiacaill Buttress and Fiacaill Coire an t-Sneachda.

Above: Backcountry skiers under instruction making the most of Spring skiing in Scotland.

Above: Nice to see somebody truly earning their turns.
