Drifting versus blowing snow

  1. A fresh covering of new snow above 600 metres. A blustery day, with a significant amount of drifting snow collecting in wind sheltered locations, especially around mid mountain level.  Tomorrow looks like a cold, dry and calm day.

Above: greater amounts of fresh snow were found at lower elevations today.
