Poor visibility at higher levels

11th March 2024

A day of much lighter winds than of late.  Visibility remained poor at higher levels.  Lingering instabilities remain on steep and convex terrain, this is due to recently drifted snow and cool temperatures.

On a NW aspect at 1100m, using a probe to identify snowpack weaknesses.

Cracking underfoot, is a sign of instabilities.
