SSE winds

5th March 2024

A very windy day with winds from the SSE, these were very gusty in nature in open terrain.  Some shelter was found higher up beneath the coire back wall.

Walking up Coire Cas, slushy conditions were encountered underfoot, below 900 metres.

Rain and summit snow cleared by midday. Views looking into Coire an t-Sneachda.

A closer look at the goat track and the Fiacaill Buttress.

Walking back down Coire Cas. The photo makes the descent look casual but, there was a lot of buffeting from the gusty nature of the wind.
