Hazy sunshine

5th January 2025

Another day of cold  temperatures with light winds and spells of sunshine.  There’s a thin cover of soft cold snow on all aspects from glen level up.  This is deeper in some areas such as ridge flanks and hollows.  Off the beaten track, conditions are tricky on foot or ski especially where the snow overlies boulders and deep heather.  All change tomorrow, remaining very cold with significant amounts of snowfall on strong increasing to gale force Northerlies.
