Storm Bound

23rd November 2024

A very stormy day with severe drifting and storm force winds to low levels. Remaining cold with dry snow at most elevations but warmer temperatures rapidly increasing late afternoon with rain on tops. Remaining very unstable through Saturday evening and the early hours Sunday but a dry but very wind day expected.

Stability should be greatly improved but snow loss will be significant unfortunately.

Drifting at 550m on access road to ski area early morning – clip provide by Brian and thanks to Cairngorm Mountain.
