Inversion

10th December 2024

It’s been another stunning day with inversion conditions.  Freezing at glen levels, plus 5C at summit levels during the day.  Little change within the snowpack cover which remains good above 600m.

The Cairngorm’s at dusk from Glenmore.

Possibly a two day old avalanche in Diagonal gully, Stag rocks which faces SE.  Photo Rescue 151.

Some pre season training for SAIS.  Thanks to the Met office for sharing some of their expert knowledge.
