Continuing Southerly winds

19th January 2026

Another day of strong Southerly winds, thankfully the clouds lifted during the afternoon to allow for some more observations and pictures.

Most terrain is either well frozen or has a breakable crust. There are some accumulations of softer snow but difficult to tell how much in the white landscape. Some light drifting was observed and cornices continue to present a hazard on many northerly aspects. (see report for more detail.)
